In one form or another, mothers have impacted all of our lives. Join us this Mother's Day at 11am as we celebrate the women in our lives and take a family photo at our photo booth.
Whether you are searching for some "thing" more to life, starting to inquire about God, or returning to church for the first time in a while, this Easter could change your life!
The message of Easter seems a bit "out there", so spend Easter with us to find out how this message could change your thinking, shift your focus, and maybe help you trust God.
Preschool and elementary children are invited to enjoy and learn about the story of Easter in a program designed for their ages. Children will receive a special gift in their classes.
There also will be singing, coffee & donuts, and a family photo booth.
Music is a powerful way to connect with God and be reminded of who God really is. During the week leading up to Easter, you are invited to come sing, celebrate & prepare your heart for what God could do in you and through you in this season. April 13th at 7pm in our Auditorium, we will sing, reflect, pray, celebrate communion, and turn our attention to our Savior.
Childcare will be provided. Please email Chris by April 10 to help us plan accordingly.

Hundreds of families in the San Jose area have been evacuated or impacted by the recent floods. As followers of Jesus, we believe we are called to help those in need because God helped us in our time of need. At this time, you can help by giving through our church.
You can donate by clicking above and choosing "San Jose Flood Relief". All the money given will be used to assist individuals & families in need and to fund other relief efforts through some great local organizations.
We will continue to update ways you can help.
Life can be tough; student life can be really tough.
Academic deadlines, friendships, physical changes, family, add in the complexities of modern technology, and all these things force middle and high school students today to deal with some difficult stuff.
Sunday, January 29 at 12:30pm we are launching a new fun, conversational environment for students. There will be free lunch, games, and discussion about topics that are really important to students today. This will be a safe place to process, question, and discuss all that life has thrown at you.
Parents, each month we will create a Parent Connection resource for you to know what your students are discussing and equip you to have spiritual conversations with your students.
Sandwiches are easy to put together. Relationships & friendships can be a bit more difficult. Join us after the English Service at about 12:15pm in Building D behind the Auditorium. We will share a sandwich lunch together and maybe also put some new friendships together.
The church will provide sandwich items & drinks. If you are able to bring a side dish or chips to share, that would be great but not required. This event will also help launch our new StudentLife groups that same day.
As a new year begins, you may be looking for a better start to the year. We believe living life connected to others and building relationships that support & encourage is essential for all of us to get a better start to the year.
Starting January 15, we will have some new groups forming along with opportunities to connect to an existing group. Most of our current & new groups will be discussing the content of our new sermon series Brand New about the brand new way Jesus introduced to relate to God.
We hope you had a great Christmas & New Year holiday season!

Join us by bringing your canned food donations to our collection containers in the lobby on both Sunday, November 20 & 27 before and after our services. These donations will be extra helpful to this community partner as we enter the holiday season and help put food on our neighbor's tables.
As another way to practice our "neighboring" from the How to Neighbor series, we are cleaning up a local food pantry. This pantry is located at West Valley Community Services. On Saturday, November 19th from 9am-12noon, we will serve this great non-profit so they can continue to serve the people of our communities.
There will be opportunities to serve for families & individuals from preschool kids to senior adults. Please register by Thursday, November 17th. Come and go as you need.
While Christmas is about more than gifts, Jesus was a gift from God to us. We want to use gift giving as a way to love kids and show them Jesus. Around the world, there are many children who will not receive a Christmas gift, but you can help! Below are the steps for you and your family to pack a Christmas shoebox for one of these children. We are collecting these boxes until November 13, when we will get them ready to be shipped around the world.
- Shoebox - use an empty cardboard or plastic shoebox (average size). You can wrap the box and lid separately, but wrapping is not required.
- Boy or Girl - Decide whether your gift will be for a boy or a girl, and the age category: 2-4, 5-9, 10-14.
- Fill with Gifts - Fill the box with a variety of new, quality gifts that will be delight to a child. Click here to see a list of Gift Suggestions & gifts to avoid.
- Include $7 and Shipping Label - A donation of $7 per box is helpful to transport your gift and deliver it into the hands of a child in need. To pay and print a Follow-Your-Box Shipping Label, click here. Donate your $7 online and receive a notification later about the destination of your shoebox. Print or pick up a Standard Shipping Label at the Connection Counter on Sunday. Include a check to Samaritan's Purse for $7 per box and place it in an envelope on top of the items inside your shoebox. Mark the correct age category and tape the label to the top of your box.
- Drop-off - at Lobby Connection Counter by Sunday, November 13.
If you are not able to put together a shoebox, you can donate towards purchasing more shoeboxes and paying for shipping costs.
There are hundreds of children in Santa Clara County in need of a loving family. What if we could be the place where abused and neglected children became beloved daughters and sons?
On top of the need, this is a strategic way we can see an improved Bay Area. The long-term effects of growing up without a caring and stable family include: decreased educational achievement, higher rates of crime, greater likelihood of unemployment, and higher risk of being trafficked.
We are partnering with a local organization Foster the Bay to provide 3 different ways to help beyond becoming a foster family.
#1 If you are interested in learning more about becoming a Support Friend, Foster Family, or Foster the Bay volunteer, you can attend an Interest Meeting:
- 11/15/16 (Tuesday) 7:00-8:30pm at Calvary Church in Los Gatos
- 11/19/16 (Saturday) 9:00-10:30am at South Bay Church in San Jose
- 11/30/16 (Wednesday) 7:00-8:30pm at Highway Church in Mountain View
- 12/3/16 (Saturday) 9:00-10:30am at Bernal Bible Church in San Jose
#2 For those who might be interested in volunteering with Foster the Bay, they have volunteer openings as they host the meetings above by providing child care, hosting food, registration & set up/tear down helpers. Email Pastor Chris for more info.
# 3 For those interested in supporting Foster the Bay financially, you can Give Online.
Alabaster Offering is a special offering we take a few times a year to build hospitals, churches, and housing around the world. Over the decades, this global offering has raised over $100 million. Please bring your change, cash, or check to support these global building projects.

Vacations are over. School has started again. Summer is almost over. Sunday, September 11 is a strategic day for us as we kickoff our fall season of ministry. This is a time when we get back to work, begin a new school year, and sometimes start new routines.
We would love for you to join us and maybe even bring a guest to come with you! We will have some good music, start a new discussion series, and have inflatables for families.
We value circles over rows. Our greatest moments of happiness, joy & celebration most likely came in community with others. Conversely, many of us were negatively impacted by moments of sadness, regret & sorrow when we didn't have a group of people to share those moments. God designed us to need community or circles for life.
September 11 is a great time to join a new Life Group or an existing one. Click here to learn more, see groups & times available or list your available time & day.
Come help us update, maintain, and prepare our campus for our community & guests, as we paint, rake, and clean up from 8am-12noon. We hold to the value that we want to support environments & settings that support our mission. This is a time to verify that we really do value our environments.
Come and go as needed. Plus, donuts, coffee/tea & lunch will be provided!
Baptism is going public with your faith and expressing your desire to follow Jesus. It is a step Jesus took, and one His followers should take at some point as well. Have you been following Jesus for a while but have not been baptized? Do you have questions about its meaning or want to learn more?
Click to learn more or sign up to get baptized.
Following the service, everyone is welcome to enjoy a celebration lunch in our courtyard.
"Thank you" is important, but for many of you it isn't enough. Our volunteers are invited to a dinner in Building D on Saturday, July 30th. This will be a night to try to express our gratitude and remember why we serve as we look to the fall.
Please RSVP by completing this form before Wednesday 7/27 to ensure we can plan accordingly.
Middle School Camp is an amazing five-day, four-night stay at Hartstone Bible Camp in Potter Valley, CA for all students entering 6th-9th grade in the fall. Among the beautiful redwoods, we swim, hike, ride the rope swings, play gutter ball, launch water balloons, and so much more.
Along with all of the fun, we are also committed to turning our attention to Christ, through teaching, great musical worship, and the building of solid relationships.
