Our Mission
to help people take a next step to follow Jesus.
Because following Jesus is about a journey not a destination, it involves taking step-after-step-after-step. Whether you haven't started the journey with Jesus, you are curious about it, or you are returning to faith, you can take a step toward Jesus and we want to walk with you!
Our Vision
to be a church for more than church people.
The Bay Area is about 93% unchurched. That is a lot of people who haven't experienced or don't know about God's love for them! We want to remove all the obstacles for people coming to faith. To do this we want to create environments, presentations, and content that is helpful & engaging for unchurched people to hear about our great God who loves them.
What We Believe (Articles of Faith)
New Life Church is part of the Church of the Nazarene, a global Wesleyan‑Holiness denomination centered on Jesus Christ and shaped by Scripture, historic Christianity, and the transforming work of the Holy Spirit. Our core beliefs can be summarized in these themes:
God
We believe in one God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—who created all things, rules with love and justice, and invites every person into relationship with Him.
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus is fully God and fully human, the Savior who lived, died, and rose again so that all people may be forgiven, restored, and brought into new life.
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Spirit is actively at work in the world—awakening people to God, forming Christlike character, empowering believers, and uniting the Church in love and mission.
Scripture
We believe the Bible is inspired by God and is our trustworthy guide for faith, life, and practice.
Humanity & Sin
We believe every person is created in God’s image and deeply loved, yet all have turned away from God and need His saving grace.
Salvation
We believe salvation is a gift of grace through Jesus Christ—received by faith, expressed in repentance, and evidenced by a transformed life.
Holiness
We believe God calls His people to holy living—a life shaped by love for God and neighbor. Through the Spirit, believers can be fully devoted to God and empowered to live out Christlike love.
The Church
We believe the Church is the community of believers called to worship, grow, serve, and participate in God’s mission of reconciliation in the world.
The Sacraments
We practice baptism and Holy Communion as means of grace—signs of God’s covenant love and our life together in Christ.
The Future
We believe Christ will come again, God will set all things right, and His people will share eternal life in a renewed creation.
