There are hundreds of children in Santa Clara County in need of a loving family. What if we could be the place where abused and neglected children became beloved daughters and sons?
On top of the need, this is a strategic way we can see an improved Bay Area. The long-term effects of growing up without a caring and stable family include: decreased educational achievement, higher rates of crime, greater likelihood of unemployment, and higher risk of being trafficked.
We are partnering with a local organization Foster the Bay to provide 3 various ways to help.
# 1 For those interested in supporting Foster the Bay financially, you can Give Online.
#2 For those who might be interested in volunteering with Foster the Bay, they have volunteer openings as they host the meetings above by providing child care, hosting food, registration & set up/tear down helpers. Email Pastor Chris for more info.
#3 If you are interested in learning more about becoming a Support Friend, Foster Family, or Foster the Bay volunteer, you can attend an Interest Meeting:
- 11/9/17 (Thursday) 7:00-8:30pm at Peninsula Covenant Church in Redwood City
- 11/16/17 (Thursday) 7:00-8:30pm at The Highway Community in Mountain View
- 12/9/17 (Saturday) 9:00-10:30am at Calvary Church in Los Gatos
